POLICIES

Please carefully read through all of Hamptons United Aquatics (HUA) policies.

A copy of these policies will be provided to be signed by parent at the first swim session of the season.

  • a. HUA has a forty-eight (48) hour cancellation policy. Any session cancelled within 48- hours of the scheduled time will be charged for the full amount of the session.

    b. All sessions cancelled by instructor will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

    c. All sessions cancelled by client will be rescheduled at instructors’ convenience.

  • a. Session Packages paid for in advance will remain valid for exactly one (1) year from date of purchase.

  • a. HUA does not offer refunds on any sessions or advance packages.

  • a. HUA only cancels sessions in the event of a heavy downpour, thunder, or lightening. HUA DOES NOT cancel due to rain.

    b. In the event of a weather-related cancellation by the instructor that session will be rescheduled as soon as the instructor is able.

    c. In the event of a weather-related cancellation by the client within the 48-hour cancellation policy the client will be charged for the full amount of the session.

  • a. HUA does not guarantee that goals will be met within a specific time frame.

    b. All sessions are governed by American Red Cross Standards. The goal of all HUA instructors is to maintain a fun and structured learning environment, attempting to rush through the learning process is detrimental to the swimmer.

  • a. HUA understands that Covid-19 is still very much a part of our lives. Therefore, HUA has an additional Covid-19 related information.

    b. All HUA instructors are vaccinated.

    c. While HUA instructors will do as much as they can to ensure swimmers and parents comfort during this time, wearing masks in the water is not advisable. It is in fact dangerous to the health of the instructor as the masks can get wet and impede instructors’ ability to breathe.

    d. If you become aware after a session that there has been a close contact with someone in your family please let your instructor, or HUA know immediately that way the spread can be minimized.

    e. Covid 19 Cancellations- In the event that a swimmer tests positive for Covid 19 or must quarantine due to other close contact, the 48-hour cancellation policy is waived, and a 24-hour cancellation policy is put in place. If you become aware within those 24 hours that you must cancel there will be a 50% charge for the missed session.
